Shores of PEI

It's a long time since I've been home
Got the urge to roam and the time has passed me by
Just to watch those mighty waves roll in
And meet my friends again on the shores of PEI

And yes there's friends there that I long to see
Waiting there for me near the town of Summerside
Just to watch those fishing boats again
Bringing the lobsters in on the shores of PEI

How I miss the redness of her land
A given gift to man and it's still their way of life
WHere the farmer's work the fertile soil
They're happy there to toil near the shores of PEI

And yes there's friends there that I long to see
Waiting there for me near the town of Summerside
Just to watch those fishing boats again
Bringing the lobsters in on the shores of PEI

It's Confederation time on PEI
I know the people there will honor her with pride
Confederation has gained her many friends
Let's raise a toast again to the shore of PEI
