Day 1

SO, yesterday was my first day at the Summerside Medical Center. People were really great, but I'm not 100% sure this is what I was meant to be doing. Day started with a tour of all the offices, then learned the filing system, made a few new files, observed an electrocardiogram, and then 2, then helped with #3.... by the last one, number 6, I was "almost" able to do it myself. Makes me nervous, though. I want to just sit in an office, and take appointments :P Got a patient ready for the dr. Two actually. This involved taking blood pressure, getting height and weight measurements, and testing a urine sample. Only one of the doctors was in yesterday. Both doctors should be in tomorrow. So, I will be in this office for the next 6 weeks... well, for two days each week for six weeks... should be interesting.

Feels strange to be back in Charlottetown. I am so exhausted. I even went to bed at like 9:30 last night, and I still can barely keep my eyes open. Did a timing this morning 51 and 4. And I was concerned that I would forget how to type, not being able to do so for over a week :P We had a computers meeting this morning at nine and now, both our med sec meeting and prof session this afternoon have been cancelled. Pity :P I will have the afternoon now to get caught up on some of the stuff I missed last week... That means at least 2, if not 3 tests, after lunch... OOOh, and I have to find out if I can write the word processing modules in slemon park. I don't think that I am coming to Charlottetown on Friday if I don't absolutely have to. It would be so nice to sleep in till 8:30 :P and then just do the comp testing at home. Sigh.

I miss the sun. Eventually I will post my day-to-day journal with pics from the Dominican. I am workin on it :P
